At Computer Support of San Diego our team is passionate about what we do, and we are also very grateful for our success. One of that ways that we demonstrate our passion is by giving back to those in need. We are also very grateful that our success in business allows us to participate with and donate to some very deserving causes. The following charities are among those we have had a chance to work.
Make-a-Wish Foundation
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities.
Musicians on Call
Live performances are given by volunteer artists who give in-room performances for patients undergoing treatment or who are unable to leave their hospital beds. To date we have played for over 82,000 individuals and their families.
Celebrity Fight Night
Throughout Celebrity Fight Night’s twelve year history over $45 million has been raised with the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute as the primary beneficiary. Numerous other charities have benefited and countless lives have been changed thanks to the tremendous generosity of our supporters.
St. Louis Rams Community Outreach
Community First allows schools and non-profit youth organizations the opportunity to earn tickets to Rams home games by “putting the community first” and developing and implementing community service projects. The program has generated more than 25,000 hours of community service since 1998.
City of Hope Cancer Center
City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, City of Hope’s research and treatment protocols impact care throughout the nation.
Women in Film
Women In Film’s purpose is to EMPOWER, promote and mentor women in the entertainment and media industries.
Rainforest Alliance
The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.
St. Jude Children’s Hospital
St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
UNHCR Darfur
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency) protects and assists the world’s 20 million refugees. A refugee is someone who must flee their homeland due to violence, persecution or deadly warfare. Today, 80% of the world’s refugees are women and children. Today the agency works in some of the most dangerous places on earth, from Darfur to Iraq, Afghanistan to Colombia. In all, the agency works in 116 countries with a staff of 6,600 – most serve in conflict zones.
ActiveMusic
ActiveMusic, whose mission is “Accelerating Social Change through the Power of Music and Media,” is a non-profit production and media event company that raises money for effective non-profits that support environmental, health, social justice, and educational programs.
Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association
The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA), established in 1963, is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization created to support the Los Angeles Zoo in its mission to nurture wildlife and enrich the human experience. GLAZA’s primary responsibility is to raise money for exhibits, conservation, capital projects, education programs, community outreach, research, and other programs of the city-owned Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS
Equity Fights AIDS was founded in October, 1987 by the Council of Actors’ Equity Association. Money raised through the efforts of Equity theatre companies across the country was specifically earmarked for The Actors’ Fund’s AIDS Initiative. Broadway Cares was founded in February, 1988 by members of The Producers’ Group. Money raised was earmarked to be awarded to AIDS service organizations across the country, including Equity Fights AIDS.
KLOVE Christian Radio
We are committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through great Christian music. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year listener supported, commercial free, all Christian music.
Escondido Humane Society
The Escondido Humane Society (EHS) is a regional animal care center founded in Escondido in 1915. We provide animal care, adoption, education and protection services to inland north San Diego County. Our mission is to promote responsible pet ownership by teaching compassion, respect, and caring treatment for all living creatures. EHS has a long and rich history of involvement with human-animal relationships, caring for more than 10,000 animals per year.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.
Disabled American Veterans
With more than 1.2 million members, Disabled American Veterans is an organization of disabled veterans who are focused on building better lives for disabled veterans and their families.
The organization accomplishes this goal by providing free assistance to veterans in obtaining benefits and services earned through their military service. It is fully funded through its membership dues and public contributions. It is not a government agency and receives no government funds.
